Hello. It’s nice to meet you.

Thanks so much for stopping by and welcome to my pages.

My name is Wendi Lynn and I am a Freelance Executive Support Specialist and an individual who is working on fulfilling the last wishes of a dying woman by cultivating a love that I have had since a child.  Writing and sharing.  That lovely woman was my Grand Mother.  It is my dominent intent to continue to make her proud.

My career as an Executive Support Specialist began in December of 2000 as a Secretary for four pediatric surgeons at the University of Florida.  I was with four brilliant surgeons until 2004 when I accepted a position with the Department of Veterans Affairs working with more than a dozen Career Research Sceintists and more than 50 funded grants.  During my tenure with the Government I was a program specialist, budget analyst and my tour of duty ended as an Administrative Officer.  I’ve spent time as the go-for and scheduler and as the boss- and everything in between.  I thoroughly enjoyed my time with state and federal governments.  My education and knowledge of how our government functions and works has grown exponentially.

In the 14 years that I served in those administrations, I went to college and raised three handsome and strong young men.  I’m hoping to get some pictures of them up soon.  A mother can never gush enough about her kids :).  They are a little camera shy these days though so…those may have to come later.  After I tackle them in a good natured game of backyard football.

My pages may seem a little out of the box.  I have so many different loves that it’s difficult for me to narrow down something specific to focus on.  Or in the world of writing, finding a niche.  Perhaps that it my niche.  I don’t really have one…I just kinda do and write what comes naturally and piques my interests.

I love yoga and have practiced for many years.   I also love Martial Arts and am training for my yellow belt.  Who knew it would take an entire year to get all the techniques down enough to feel confident enough to get out on the mat and test??!!  It’s been quite the journey this year getting ready for that.  I’m still a little nervous. 🙂  The discipline to get up every day and train has my lazy streak going nuts.  LOL!  I find myself groaning and complaining as I drag my behind outside for drills and thrills.  🙂

I’m also a Taurus and I tend to wander around subjects so you’ll probably find a little bit of everything.  I tend to be a little bit stubborn about that. 😉

I also love natural healing and food.  More on this in the days to come.

I practice tolerance.  It’s one of my greatest strengths.  I love all people from all walks of life and I seek to understand how we can get along and care about each other and help each other on this road of life.  At 48 and having just faced my own mortality.  I can tell you that it’s quite a sobering experience.  As humans and as children, playing more and enjoying each other more ….well. IMHO – we’re all going to die eventually; I guess the only question is how we get there.  Me personally.  I want go out happy and content rather than angry, bitter and writhing pain.

It’s fun to get to know others.  It’s amazing the similarities that we have.  Living in the US and being the melting pot of the world, we get to experience alot of different places right in our own back yard.  Through stories, pictures, food and community.  I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.

I try to live as naturally as possible.  I do have things I love – coffee – that aren’t super great for me.  I do practice moderation. (and use whitening strips to keep my pearlies white 😉 lol)

I love nature and enjoy every season.  Each one gives us something beautiful.  I’m fortuante to live in Florida where the seasons do change, but are mild and not extreme.  We do have an occassional hurricane that hits us.  Also fortunately, we have plenty of time to prepare and get out of its way. YEAH!

I appreciate you reading this.  I appreciate you being here.

I hope you enjoy the clicks 😉
